US Army 1/48 scale M4 Sherman Tank(Early Production) mounted on a 1/48 scale 42’ flat car, battle weathered, real wood plank deck, with wood twisted cable tie-downs, chocks and blocks, die-cast sprung trucks and highly detailed undercarriage.

The first “1/48 Scale Special Edition” offering is a WWII United States Military Railway Service flat car with an early production M4 Sherman tank. The flat car is highly detailed, marked and weathered in 1/48 scale to operate on 2 rail “O” scale track.

 
The undercarriage is also finely detailed and weathered. It has a real wood plank deck, die-cast trucks and couplers, wood chocks and blocks as well as cable tie-downs with wood stake twists. The load is an early production 1/48 scale M4 Sherman tank distinguished by its 3 part transmission cover, flat return roller arm and spoked wheels. It is also highly detailed, weathered and comes with radio antennae, tarp roll and 50 cal. machine gun (either tarp covered or uncovered, as shown). ModelCrafters will be releasing in the coming months more variations and versions of the Sherman tank as it evolved throughout WWII, all highly detailed and in 1/48 scale. Each piece has a unique flat car and vehicle serial number.
 
The load is made of a composite of materials. Die-cast base, plastic hull and turret, scratch-built accessories, resin and laser-etch details.
