Double Car Ramp Set for Loading U.S Military Railcars("O" Scale-3 Rail) 2 Flat Cars, 2 Tanks, 1 Ramp, 4 Figures, 3 Foot x 1 Foot x .5 inch Base Board. The story here is the loading and unloading of military vehicles and equipment from flat cars. This would be the scene during field maneuvers on a military base or in a battle field setting. The focus is on moving vehicle ordnance and supplies using the U.S. Military Railroad during WWII and Korea. The U.S. Military Railroad played a very significant role in WWII and Korea both in the United States and overseas. To commemorate that huge undertaking this module is the first in a series that tells the story of how the United States Military Railroad contributed an invaluable service to the defense of this country. Each module is custom made to tell a small segment of the overall story. The first module telling that story is shown here. Further modules are being developed. Description of this Module 1.2-OS3R: 2 each “O” Scale 3 Rail 10" flat cars(FC2.2)are butted up against the off-loading ramp. U.S. Army(or USMC, your choice) M4A1 Sherman tanks with drivers are shown sitting on flat cars about to off-load down the ramp. Two military soldier figures assist the off-loading. The 2 rail cars and the ramp with extension fills a 3` length. The items included: BASE: 1`x3`x.5" plywood and Homosote(sound reducer) base. TRACK: 3 Rail “O” Scale GROUND COVER: Dirt with tire marks and tank tread marks and ruts. RAMPS: Scratch-built weathered wood ramp with wood extension sits firmly on track. RAIL CARS: 2 each “O” Scale 3 Rail 10" flat cars(FC2.2)with U.S. Army Transportation Corps or USMC markings, wood plank deck, die-cast sprung trucks. TANKS: 2 each M4A1 Sherman tanks with driver figures with tank hatch open. These tanks are die-cast and resin.(Note: Optional tank accessories, i.e. sandbag armor, dozer blade, deep water funnels are available, inquire) FIGURES: 4 Figures: 2 each tank drivers and 2 each standing figures.
