The 1862 Civil War "GENERAL"
Locomotive and Rolling Stock

|
For the first time ever,
this famous engine and 3 box cars is offered as a set as it looked
on that fateful day in April, 1862, when a band of daring Union
agents stole it in Georgia and began what is known today as "The
Great Locomotive Chase." |

Military Trains has taken the brass 1862 Western & Atlantic
Railroad "General" and given it a real wood pile and weathered
patina. The finish gives a convincing appearance of a train
that worked hard and was well loved. The 1862 32’ W&A RR
wood boxcars are available finely weathered both outside
and inside with wood plank flooring and interior load. There
are added real wood features on the trucks and brakemans
walkway on the roof. |
